Sudden cardiac death, while rare, can happen without warning. During this talk, learn about what can cause sudden cardiac death and how screenings can detect heart abnormalities. Dinner will be provided. Please preregister below or call 605-256-8817 by August 2.

Sudden Cardiac Death Screenings

Thursday, August 16, Starting at 8:30 am Madison Regional Health System Cost is $50 due at check-in.

Intended for active people ages 12-34, this screening consists of an EKG, limited echocardiogram, blood pressure, health history, and a board certified cardiology review by Dr. Orvar Jonsson. Screenings last approximately 30 minutes.

About Dr. Jonsson

Dr. Orvar Jonsson, MD, specializes in cardiology and nuclear cardiology at Sanford Cardiovascular Institute in Sioux Falls. He is board certified in internal medicine, internal medicine: cardiovascular, internal medicine: advanced heart failure/transplant and nuclear medicine.

Dr. Jonsson provides outreach at Madison Regional Health System the first and third Monday of the month.
