Intensive Care Unit / Critical Care Unit

The Madison Regional Health intensive care/coronary care unit consists of two rooms featuring state-of-the-art equipment to provide monitoring for those whose needs are critical and require close one-to-one attention. With bedside monitors and wireless capabilities the patients are constantly assessed and reassessed to make those critical life saving decisions.

All staff have basic life support certification and the registered nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Staff undergo extensive orientation and training. This assures all patients receive the best quality nursing care.

Diabetes Support Group

Our free diabetes support group is for individuals, families and care givers. It gives you a chance to connect and share with others. Some of the topics include nutrition, wound care, medications and eye care. The group meets the first Tuesday of the month from noon to 1:00 pm in the conference room at Madison Regional Health System. Sponsored by the MRHS Diabetes Education Program, which is certified by the American Diabetes Association.
