Miller Recognized in Becker’s 71 Critical Access Hospital CEOs to Know

Becker’s Hospital Review released their 2018 edition of its “71 Critical Access Hospital CEOs to Know” list with Madison Regional Health System’s CEO, Tamara Miller recognized.

Miller has worked at MRHS for 38 years, serving as the CEO of Madison Regional Health since 1996. Under her leadership, the hospital moved to a new 110,000 square-foot facility in October of 2015. In addition, Miller is a Fellow in the American College of Health Executives and serves on a variety of boards including the SD Association of Healthcare Organizations Council on Acute Care, Hospital Services, Inc. Board of Directors, SD Healthcare Executive Group Board of Directors and many others.

The presidents, CEOs, administrators and other executives included on this list lead organizations that have been regularly recognized for patient safety and quality. Becker’s Healthcare compiled the list through nominations and editorial research. Miller was the only critical access hospital CEO in South Dakota to be featured.

Madison Regional Health System is a 22-bed nonprofit, independent facility with around 260 employees. MRHS has served the town of Madison and surrounding areas for over 130 years. The organization has around a $12 million dollar annual payroll and a $25 million dollar annual impact on local economy.
