Madison Regional Health Foundation

A Message from the Foundation Director

I want to share that I will be retiring at the end of May. Here are three things I have learned as director of the Madison Regional Health Foundation:

• Donors, you are grateful to have access to local healthcare for your people and ALL people in the community. You have cared enough to make a difference. Thank you!

• It is comforting to know that in such challenging times as we have experienced over this past year, we can pull together as a community to care for one another and work together to move forward.

• Hank Rosso, author of books on philanthropy, once said, “Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving.” I have found this to be true and that it is very fulfilling to make a difference in one’s community!

Thank you for being community-minded and generous. Thank you for your friendship and support to the Foundation. I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given to serve as the Foundation’s Director and to know and work with people like you. Your generous support has made a difference today and promises quality healthcare close to home for our rural community in the future.

About Us

The Madison Regional Health Foundation was established in 2013 to promote and advocate for local health care philanthropy. The Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax deductible.

The Foundation is building an endowment to address the future needs of the MRHS and the Madison community. Through this endowment, your gifts will have an even greater impact. Contributions can be made to the areas of:

Future Needs

Established to ensure that long-term goals can be achieved, the Future Needs fund focuses on supporting projects that address the changing needs of MRHS and surrounding communities. As our communities grow, medical needs change, and technology advances, your gift will help to keep quality, progressive health care close to home for our patients.

Scholarship & Recruitment

Through scholarship and recruitment initiatives, the Foundation wants to ensure that you can invest in those who want to provide high quality care for our area. The Scholarship and Recruitment fund will provide assistance to those wishing to return to or start their careers in Madison at MRHS.

Health & Well-Being

MRHS is dedicated to providing the area with health services and education, some at no cost to the individual. Through our community needs assessment, we have learned that there is an interest in preventative care and other well-being areas. Your contribution will allow us to expand our services and educational opportunities for our patients and the community through this fund.

Our Foundation, Your Legacy

Donors to MRHF have already impacted patients' lives in creating therapeutic and comforting environments in the facility. The stained glass within the chapel/meditation room and benches throughout the healing garden were made possible through gifts from our donors. We have purchased state-of-the-art equipment like the electric parallel bars in physical therapy and have awarded scholarships to future pharmacists.

The Madison Regional Health Foundation exists to support the Madison Regional Health System and the healthcare needs of the greater Madison community. The Foundation will seek donations and raise funds to be utilized for capital improvements, enhancements to patient care, technology upgrades and to otherwise fulfill Madison Regional Health System's mission of healthcare philanthropy in the Madison area.
