Job Shadow Program

If you have an interest in a future health care career, Madison Regional Health System offers job shadowing for those at least 16 years old. Our program gives you the opportunity to observe a health care professional, ask any questions about the field and experience what it's like to work in health care.

Types of Experiences

We offer job shadowing for both high school and post-secondary students. High school students typically shadow for 8 hours with a variety of health care professionals (not including providers). Post-secondary job shadow experiences can be scheduled for up to 40 hours to gain a better understanding of health care. Students are not allowed to participate directly with hands-on delivery of care.
