Madison Regional Health System provides speech therapy services in various settings, including outpatient, inpatient, birth to three program, and home health. Our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) work with pediatric, adolescent, and adult clients in the areas of speech production, fluency, language, cognition, voice, feeding, and swallowing. Madison Regional Health System SLPs are specially trained in SPEAK OUT!, a Parkinson's Disease program that strengthens the muscles for speaking and swallowing and emphasizes speaking with intent. Madison Regional Health System provides unique speech therapy services, including Modified Barium Swallow Studies and Ampcare. The Modified Barium Swallow Study is a real-time x-ray that looks at the patient's ability to swallow safely and effectively. Ampcare is a neuromuscular electrical stimulation device that helps facilitate muscle contractions and resistance to improve swallowing abilities.
